ABOUT TOM DOUD

Tom "Earthquake" Doud 

started playing drums at age 11, soon he was learning songs by ear and started playing in local cover bands. By age 13 Tom was playing songs by Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath Credence Clearwater Revival  Bachman Turner Overdrive, The Kinks, Rolling Stones, The Beetles and many other bands from the 60's & 70's. 

 

Performing at special events, bars, parties, and school dances brought Tom valuable experience at a young age. At age 17, Tom took lessons from legendary New Jersey Jazz drummer Carl Wolfe. This is were he learned to read and write music. By the time he was twenty, Tom already had played several hundred shows around the tri-state area. 

 

In 1980, Tom opened Earthquake Studios, today, 27 years later, Eathquakes studios continues to provide multi-track recording, Drum Lessons and rehearsal studios to many bands large and small.

 

From 1986 to 1991 Tom joined Sky Clad Recording Artists "PIERCE" and toured the US playing approximately 200 shows per year.  Pierce released two albums which Tom performs on. 

 

Tom has also performed with bands; Shotgun Alley, Rattlebone, Victory Gin, & TKO recording artists Niblick Henbane. Tom also has done a lot of session work and has filled in for other drummers from time to time. By the year 2007 it is estimated that Tom has performed in over 3,000 shows.

Tommy at Earthquake Studios

to record the drums and basic tracks for his upcoming album
